Pronghorn Club is a one-of-a-kind resort on 640 acres of land, surrounded by 20,000 acres of protected federal land, just a few miles outside of the town of Bend, Oregon, population about 85,000.
And now, when purchasing a lot or a home at Tesana, the buyer receives a complimentary Premier Membership in Pronghorn that includes dues payment for two years. This membership is valued at $115,000, as the dues are $1,015 monthly. It includes the use of both Jack Nicklaus and Tom Fazio Signature courses, as well as access to tennis courts, basketball courts, hot tubs, spa and massage facilities at the Pronghorn Spa, and the use of The Trailhead and the PGA Tour Academy.
The Jack Nicklaus Signature is a 7,379-yard, par-72, 18-hole course, intertwined with ancient lava rock ridges and outcroppings at 3,200 feet above sea level.
The Tom Fazio Signature is a 7,456-yard, par-72, 18-hole private course, only for Pronghorn Club members. This course is home to one of the most unique holes in the world: a par-three, eighth hole that includes a 45-foot canyon and exposed lava tube. This is a natural rock formation through which lava has traveled beneath the surface, expelled by a volcano during an eruption. At Pronghorn, no one knew about the subterranean lava tube until the Fazio golf course was being built.
The Trailhead houses Pronghorn Adventures, offers various family outings including skiing, snowboarding, helicopter tours, bird/game hunting, dog sled trips, and whitewater canoeing, to name a few. The PGA Tour Academy offers personal instruction by PGA certified instructors, complemented by the latest teaching technologies like V1 video analysis and Dynamic Balance System. This collection of technology and expert golf instruction are positioned to enhance the level of play for any golfer.
At Tesana, there are eight floor plans, ranging in size from 2,000 to 3,900 square feet, with the home sites ranging from 9,000- to 15,000-square-feet Haggart Luxury Homes; also on site, is the builder. The architecture is, generally, Tuscan-inspired, featuring large patios with fire pits, fireplaces and barbecues, putting greens, and guest casitas.
The interiors have wine cellars and natural finishes throughout. Tesana is located between the Nicklaus and Fazio courses, near the heart of the development. The homes start at $860,000. Each home takes between seven to eight months and each is as environmentally sensitive as it is unique. A few of these sustainability dimensions are recycled material, Hydronic radiant floors, solar panels, high insulation grade windows and environmentally friendly stains and paints.
For those who are not avid golfers, but rather family members and/or significant others, there is much else to do: river rafting and fly fishing on the nearby Deschutes River; skiing and snowboarding at Mt. Bachelor, along with horseback riding, caving, mountain biking, and hiking. The property offers stunning views of the Three Sisters mountain range, Mt. Bachelor, Mt. Jefferson, and few others in the Cascade Range.
