This month gold dipped dosas transform Indian’s street food to upmarket delights in Banglore while America’s fastfood chain Wendy’s is serving up foie gras burgers in Japan.
An all new Wendy’s has re-emerged in Tokyo with a menu that boasts the regular buns found in the US but served with foie gras burgers (1280 yen/16 USD), avocado and wasabi burgers (820 yen/10.55 USD) as well as grilled chicken served with truffle and porcini mushroom sauce (920 yen/11.83 USD).
One hundred new Wendy’s are planned to open across Japan by 2017. Meanwhile Wendy’s US menu still features the Baconator as a premium seletion.
