President Obama’s lack of action shows there is no hope.

The fact that the President has done nothing but talk to deal with the crisis in the Gulf, the Gulf of Mexico, that is, shows that he has no interest whatsoever in doing anything to help the people of theUnited States of America and frankly that all hope is gone.

Lack of action to solve the crisis is just one of many miscues the President has made as he works desperately to avoid massive losses in the upcoming mid-term elections. For some reason the President and his advisors just don’t seem to get it. The idea that he took more than 30 days to “claim responsibility for the clean-up” of the oil spill is outrageous. What is worse still is the free pass the media has given him on his lack of action and inability to claim responsibility. The people of the United States deserve more. After all, the beaches are ours, the coastline is ours and the land is ours, not the playground of the big oil and others. It is quite clear who is in bed with big oil now!

Things are very bad. So bad that the Ragin’ Cajun, James Carville himself, the architect and chief strategist for President Clinton’s election and reelection, almost had a breakdown on Good Morning America last week (Watch the Clip Here). Carville was so emotional in his calls for President Obama to act that I thought he was going to cry.

It is bad, the country needs action and we need action now! Every American should be as upset as the Ragin’ Cajun. This is not a Democrat or a Republican issue. This is an American issue and the fact that the President and his administration have done nothing to solve this problem but spew rhetoric at it is once again a showing of his ineptitude in office.

The rhetoric of the pre-holiday weekend press conference and announcements are not enough. President Obama needs to do something now. Instead of touring the country, going to fundraisers for the likes of Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Cal.), he needs to get focused on the crisis and find a solution. He was elected to bring change to Washington. Well, change has not come – it’s just more of the same and worse. The President needs to act now and get this mess cleaned up and cleaned up fast.

THINGS THAT DRIVE ME CRAZY

Nothing to say this week because…well, stay tuned; this will change.
