Amazon.com’s members-only flash-sale site MYHABIT launched its first designer tab, with the likes of Thakoon, Valentino and Balmain, to attract high-end shoppers in search of 60% savings on February 6 at 9am PST/12pm EST.
Top fashion houses including Bibhu Mohapatra, Costume National and Alejandro Ingelmo have been hanpicked for the high-end category. The first sale is underway and ends Wednesday, February 8. Designer events are set to run every Monday for 72 hours or until items are sold out. Think virtual sample sale with a lookbook. The site also says it will offer shoppers a 360-video shot on models, lavish photography and editorial segments.
WWD reported that the new focus on luxury goods will offer an “all in one dedicated place, allowing for a faster, more tailored shopping experience for customers seeking designer labels.”
MYHABIT claims to “set a new standard in convenience, offering free, instant membership; fast, free shipping on U.S. orders and free return shipping in the U.S., as well as fast $25 international shipping to 50+ countries.”
Launched in May last year, MYHABIT followed in the footsteps of eBay’s Fashion Vault and continues to model successful sample sale sites such as Gilt and Vente Privee by offering discounted designer fashion for a limited period of time, according to AFP-relaxnews.
