Paris leads a list of the 101 best hotel restaurants around the world, as compiled by popular food site The Daily Meal.
Spanning six continents, more than 40 countries and 80 cities, the list was curated by consulting ‘trusted sources’ like the Michelin Guide, and recommendations from The Daily Meal’s editors.
The City of Light snagged the most spots on the list with five dining destinations including Le Comptoir at the Relais Saint-Germain, an art deco “neo-bistro” that seats just 40 diners and requires booking months in advance.
To land on the list, hotels had to have at least 15 rooms. Restaurants that exist as separate entities from the hotel were also excluded. While price was not a factor, editors admit that most of the addresses on the list are set in luxury hotels.
Aside from the usual suspects like Joël Robuchon Restaurant at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, and the Man Wah at the Mandarin Oriental in Hong Kong, the list also includes eateries in more exotic and far-flung locales like Acquapazz at the Four Seasons Mauritius and Fontaine at the Hayma Island Resort in Australia’s Great Barrier Reef.
