Coppola to auction rare bottles for Tsunami relief in NYC on September 24
In April, Francis Ford Coppola bought the Inglenook winery name with the stated goal of restoring the property he already owns “into America’s greatest wine estate.” At Christie’s New York on September 24, he will auction off some of his prized wine collection including two bottles of what made this wine a legend – the famed 1941 Inglenook and a rare bottle of the 1935 vintage. The Inglenook legacy is deep in the roots of Napa Valley. In 1879, Inglenook founder Gustave Niebaum promised to make wines to rival European vintages. Russia – InterContinental InterContinental has announced ambitious plans to open 100 hotels in Russia by 2020, an expansion of almost ten times the number operating there today, reports Luxury blog LUXUO Manila – Trump Tower Predicted to be ASEAN’s wealthiest city by 2020. Trump decided to lend his name to the Philippines-based luxury real estate firm Century Properties’ $150-million Trump Tower Manila in Makati City. By early 2012 the 220-resident community skyscraping building will be amongst the tallest in the country at 820 feet (250 meters).
