FRENCH TOWN FOR PRICE OF NYC STUDIO
Instead of buying a studio in New York City you can now have an abandonned village, Courbefy, located in the Limousin region of France (less than 30 miles from Limoges) for €330,000/$438,174. There are reportedly 19 buildings (with residences) in the villages but it also comes with a slew of “thieves, drunks and squatters” who have taken over the ghost town. At its height, the town in the 90s had over 200 inhabitants and there is still one swimming pool. A ROMAN COLOSSEUM GETS $42 MILLION PRICE TAG
The Palazzo Orsini, a Renaissance palace built onto the top of the still-standing stone and marble shell of the anceint Roman theatre (the Theatre of Marcellus –dating from the 1st Century BC) which resembles a mini Coloseeum, is on the market for €32 million ($42 million). “Its asking price is thought to make it the most expensive property currently on sale in the Italian capital, and one of the most expensive in Europe.
