Isola di Mal Ventre, an island off the coast of Sardinia, is on sale now for a mere €1.5 million (around $2 million). The 200-acre island, which has belonged to a British businessman since 1972, is entirely wild and isolated. The only marks of civilization: a few columns dating to Roman times and an old sheperd’s cabin. Of course, this means there is no infrastructure in place for amenities such as electricity or water. Panda campaign hits Hong Kong, 1600 strong
A troupe of 1,600 papier-mâché pandas is set to descend upon HONG KONG this June, as part of an ongoing campaign by the WWF. ‘1600 Pandas World Tour in Hong Kong: Creativity Meets Conservation’ will see the pandas grace the city’s top 10 landmarks as part of the government’s ‘conserving central’ initiative. The 1,600 pandas, which come in six different shapes and sizes, represent the actual number of the endangered animals left on Earth.
