From Dubai to Las Vegas, London and Zhengzhou, China, restaurants catering to a female-only clientele are becoming increasingly popular the world over. The latest eatery to cater to the fair sex is set to open next month in London’s Soho area. According to The London Evening Standard, Sofakingcool on Frith Street will reopen as KC’z Bar on February 1 as a women’s-only restaurant. Though details are sparse, the manager told the paper that the bar isn’t about banning men, but about “putting what women want first” and about networking. TAKE ME TO THE MOON (ONLY USD 1.4 BILLION/2)

A team of former NASA executives announced plans to send two people to the Moon for about $1.4 billion. The Colorado-based company Golden Spike announced these plans for a commercial venture to send private clients to the moon during a press conference on December 6. Golden Spike Company’s announcement said it will use existing rocket and capsule technology, and will aim for a first launch before the end of the decade. Not much is known about the company apart from the fact that it was founded by planetary scientist and aerospace engineer Alan Stern who ran the NASA directorate from 2007 to 2008.
