Your own private Greek isle for USD 13 million

An uninhabited private island off the coast of Greece, will go on auction at a starting price of 10 million euros ($13.2 million) in September. The sale of the island, part of the Spalathronisia archipelago that sits 500 metres (0.3 miles) from the Halkidiki peninsula, a tourist hotspot in northern Greece, is just the latest from the country’s crisis-hit landowners. A dozen bottles of whisky [only] on Harrod’s wall for $1.5 million

Scottish distillery The Dalmore has partnered with Harrods to launch The Dalmore Paterson Collection, named after master distiller Richard Paterson who assessed, nosed, tasted and selected each whisky blend for the lot of a dozen bottles. The price tag for the world’s only collection of its kind? A cool £987,500 ($1.5 million). Whiskies range in date from 1926 to the 1990s and make up a surprisingly personal collection linked to Paterson.
