The Puma Suede sneakers are iconic when it comes to shoes. They were all the rage in the 70s and 80s and remained popular throughout the 90s. However, in order to still be relevant in the new millennium, Puma felt that the Suede shoes not only needed to look great, but also be environmentally sustainable. Last week, Puma introduced the Re-Suede, a redesign of the original Puma Suede using recycled materials. The sole of the new Re-Suede sneakers are made with a rice husk filler, which is a byproduct of the food industry. CONRAD, the luxury hotel and resort company owned by the Blackstone Group, has announced that the end of 2011 will see a new Conrad hotel in New York that will be the luxury hotel brand’s fifth property in the United States. Located in the Financial District, site formerly occupied by the Embassy Suites New York at 102 North End Avenue at Vesey Street. The 463-room accommodation will feature spacious guestrooms that average 450-square-feet and come with high-tech electronics and other lavish amenities. Additional aspects will include a sunlit 15-story atrium, striking Sol LeWitt artwork, a green roof plus a rooftop bar boasting dramatic views of the Hudson River.
