New ice hotel emerges in Sweden

The 25th Hotel in Jukkasjärvi, Swedish Lapland, has opened its doors and the establishment has released a video showing the building of the bar. Titled “Booom!”, the ice bar features a central block of crystal designed to look like it has created splashes of snow on the walls. Designed by Italian sculptor Maurizio Perron, Bulgarian architect Viktor Tsarsk and Dutch designer Wouter Biegelaar, the bar forms the centerpiece of the hotel. 2015: Year of Wearables?

“Lots of interest, a lot of caution, and not much worth buying…yet. This is what we saw in wearables at CES [January 2014]”, noted CNET on wearable technology trends. Almost a year later, Apple jumped into the space with their watch (USD 349) and the producers of Razer Nabu (USD 78) can’t meet demand. It sold out in 15 minutes on December 2.
