ORGANS FOR SALE

People openly sell blood, hair, sperm, eggs, virginity and, on many black markets, organs. PopSci.com, a companion site to Popular Science, questioned numerous organ-trafficking researchers to determine the price for organs that a person could live without. Apparently most humans can live a full life without: a lung, all of their intestines, an eye, part of the liver and one kidney. Many organs are donated at time of death decreasing their value, and in the United States, it is ‘illegal’ to sell organs but the biggest market seems to be for kidneys. CAGE’S SUPERMAN GETS RECORD-BREAKING MILLIONS

A rare 1938 Action Comics no.1 known for introducing the world to Superman was auctioned online for USD 2.16 million, a first for any comic. The Superman comic was owned by American actor Nicholas Cage and “assigned a grade of 9.0 by Certified Guaranty Company” accoridng to Luxury Insider. There are reportedly 100 other issues somewhere in the world. The original comic in 1938 was sold for 10 cents.
