The prime brokerage industry is getting smaller.HEDGEAnswers has learned that a mid-Atlantic based-broker dealer, has decided to exit the prime brokerage business. The company has not gone public but our source says the announcement is just days away. The news will send funds that do business with the firm scrambling for alternatives. The final post of 2010….
I know that I have not posted in a while and I apologize. Things have been going crazy over the last few weeks and I haven’t had the time to sit down and write. Today, however, I seem to have plenty of time and so I’m putting down my final thoughts on 2010. The year has been full of ups and down. A true rollercoaster ride if ever there was one in terms of politics, the economy, indictments over insider trading, Dodd-Frank, healthcare, QE2 and, of course, all the issues with the Spider-Man musical.
