And the University of Connecticut\u2019s Innovation Accelerator is sending over some MBA students to help her out this summer,&#8221; according to New York Times.<\/p>\n<p>What started it all was simply a nasty bout of hiccups, after testing a 100 kitchen sink remedies like drinking saltwater, sipping water out of an upside-down cup, eating spoonfuls of sugar, slurping pickle juice. The result is a combination of three of the best: sugar, apple cider vinegar, and lollipops. <\/p>\n<p>As for the taste, she is still &#8220;tweaking&#8221; it but these ingredients &#8220;trigger a set of nerves in your throat and mouth that are responsible for the hiccup reflex arc&#8230; It basically over-stimulates those nerves and cancels out the message to hiccup.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>You may recall this young entrepreneur when she rang the NYSE bell at the end of January.<\/p>\n<p>Expect to see hiccupops on drug store shelves in 2013 or something your nurse passes out &#8212; especially if you are on chemotherapy, dialysis or epilepsy drugs as hiccups is a common side effect.<\/p>\n<p>Until 2013 you might want to try some hiccup curing techiniques per Discovery Fit &#038; Health.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Inspiring eighth grader Mallory Kievman from Connecticut has invented a promising cure for hiccups.
